A rook is a part of the ear. it is located under the daith. it is really cool to get pierced. The piercing of a rook is a simple procedure. the piercer marks the spot where he/she is going to pierce, pierce it,take the needle out, and put your earring through it. the after care has to be done though. you have to give your rook piercing a "salt wash". you basically put hot water and salt and bathe your rook in it. i used a q-tip but do w/e way you want. then after you have soaked it, you put dial unsented saop on a wet q-tip and put in gently around the holes where the earring is. you should continue to cleanse it for 6-8 weeks. you should keep your first rook ring in for atleast 6 months before you cahnge it, and you shouldnt leave an earring out of it for ateast a year or it will grow back and you wont have it pierced again
