Big Three
Hi, Zedla. I hate to disagree with you regarding the speedy on this card game, but I got only one Google hit for a card game called "Big Three." Nothing to do with this article whatsoever...and it's the user's first edit. With all due respect, I've restored the speedy deletion notice since this is clearly something this user and his friends have made up and I don't feel that AfD is the place for it. Thanks. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 07:01, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
- Scratch that part about the first edit; his talk page shows a deleted article on a made-up game from back in October. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 07:02, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
No problem. Looks like it's gone away. Thanks for being so nice! :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 16:58, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for removing the G12 copyvio SD tags from those public domain articles I tagged. That was a silly error on my part. I didn't even see the italics indicating the government site at the bottom. It looked like part of the references/stub template becuse of the italics hehe. That won't happen again! Wisdom89 (T / C) 16:43, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
deletion of contract project management
Zedla, Just checked our page to see if we'd had any response to our request to get info back that was deleted and the whole page seems to have been permanently deleted and you seem to be the last administrator to look at it. We are just a bunch of students that wrongly and accidently used Wikipedia to set up a group and what we thought secure space to work a group assignment. We don't want to use Wikipedia again but would really appreciate a copy of the document as it took hours of group work to get that done. Your help would be very much appreciated and as an editor and administrator I'm sure you can help us. Please. last copy of contract project management
Zedla , Thanks so much for looking at this for us. Is it possible to get a copy of the last revision, we had made a few important changes ??? I really appreciate your help with this. Do we delete this file or do you do that after you've sent us the copy of last text? Thanks. Judith ps: i'll only ever use Wikipedia again to help with my childs homework. I so know nothing about computers! Thanks again you're a legend.

Temporary pages
Hello Calton, I'm reiterating the same concern expressed by RP. It should generally be used only on the userpage after an indef block (per Template_talk:Temporary_userpage) and really should not be on a user_talk page since user_talk is not deleted even after a block
And you would be wrong, since useless talk pages of spam-only/indef-blocked editors, containing only spam warnings and block notices, are deleted all the time. Perhaps you should take this up with those doing the actual deleting instead of those doing the tagging. --Calton | Talk 23:45, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Error logs?
I'm noticing something odd in my log, two unfamiliar usernames listed that I supposedly created, where neither of them ever made any contributions, both being silly, and they were both created on the same day. What does this mean? Does this mean my account/computer has been compromised or what? The log entries are:
- 2008-02-16T18:30:18 GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Talk | contribs) created new account User:Thisismytemporaryaccount (Talk | contribs)
- 2008-02-16T18:13:09 GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Talk | contribs) created new account User:Hi im a cut liddl gurl (Talk | contribs)
- How can I get rid of these, and possibly have them cancelled, this is freaky. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 17:31, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
- There is the possibility your account was compromised (weak password or remaining logged on a public terminal?) I don't think the log entries can be removed, I think your best bet is to request a Checkuser under Code "G" and see what they come up with. Let me know if you need help with that and remember not to leave your fly open... – Zedla (talk) 17:44, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
- Public computer rings a bell, I've used my account from a particular classroom at school and I think I did one time at a the school media center, but I used the secure Wikipedia. Should I be just editing annon when at school? Also, I think there was one time that I accidently checked the "remember me" box in class, that could obviously be a bad thing. I've heard of those viruses that can be put in public computers, but I didn't think they'd be able to put one of those in the classroom computer without being caught considering the strict content filtering in our district. Considering that no one has used my account to vandalize so far, I'm wondering if it's a big deal anyway since there was no vandalism from either of those accounts. I don't know, do you think there's anything worth freaking out over here? I've been using the same password for my internet accounts for years and so far I've had a total of zero problems, I hope I'm not going to have to change all of my passwords over this. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 17:58, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
I'll keep an eye on those two.It doesn't sound like your password was compromised but changing them anyways is probably a good idea and a good practice. There might be a small chance the browser used on those days cached an (encrypted) copy of the password depending on what options were clicked. – Zedla (talk) 19:26, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for blocking 72.23.147.120. As an (inactive) admin (who hasn't bothered to log in in a while) I know how important a note of thanks once in a while is for someone on RC patrol or watching AIV, so keep up the good work! :-) 140.247.237.120 (talk) 22:11, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi from a teacher in Oslo
Zedla you have blocked 193.156.194.5 for vandalism, some of which I see was done in norwegian. It might even come from the school where I teach where we have many unsupervised PCs. If you want any help from me with making contacts or with norwegian language, just ask on my talk page. Cuddlyable3 (talk) 09:57, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
hi
if ur an admin can u help me out, ill admit i was banned fo redit warring b4 so to aviod being banned agian im gona talk to u, im currently involved in an edit war on The Used page, a user is removing half of a paragraph of sourced info and making a statement that isnt true, i jsut created the paragraph this morning and 2 of users commenting my page saying what a great job i did so im not the only one invloved, the used SilverOrion is who im having a problem with, i think they ar enew to wikipedia, and im trying to tell them that removing half of a paragraph of sourced info is vandalism but they responded that it is not vandalism and that it is my stupidity, so overall all me and about 3 of wiki users agree how how the paragraph shud be (we all made edits to it and are happy iwth it) hower SilverOrion keeps changing it to their liking and by doing so they are removing too much info which i think is considered vadalism, so i dont want another ban so i bought it up here, please help me. USEDfan (talk) 07:18, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- the page is currently on their visions. USEDfan (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 07:19, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- thank you, i see you left a warning for them, ive learned not to edit war on here but i was doing it to prevent what seems to be vandalism from what i understand from past expierinece, is that okay in my situation?, if i were to change the page back now, they are just gona undo my change, so what should we do here? please remember that they are the only user who is dramactically changing the page and all the other users have pretty much agreed on how the table should be. -USEDfan (talk) 07:28, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- also they reason i did so many edits before reporting it is becausse i couldnt find an admin (the only one i found wasnt online) and i also dont no how to call an admin to my page, thanks for your help so far. USEDfan (talk) 07:32, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- one more thing, on top of them editing the page to what i see as vandalim, they also called me stupid and said i dont no th e difference between gernes of music, and i believe that insulting other users is against rules as well, and could i change the page to the way it was before they started the edit war, cause its their version right now. USEDfan (talk)
07:39, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- dude u locked the page on their edit, can u at least undo their edit and then lock it? USEDfan (talk) 07:42, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
protection
if you look at my talk page 2 users left me a comment saying that i did a great job on the genre section (those 2 users enchanced the paragraph but did not remove an info), also i was just talking early to a user about how great we have made the page over the past few months, isnt that enough to show u that silverorion is the only one causing a problem? bothpwange8 and fatalerror compilmented me on the section and everything was fine with it until silverorion decided to change it and remove half of the info. if the page was changed to how it was then silver orion could discuss any changes they want on the talk page, i shouldnt have to go and discuss why it should be changed back when they are the only one who didnt like how it is, right? USEDfan (talk) 07:52, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- i sent a message to other users who worked on the paragraph with me, i tolf them to contact u about the paragraph and that it should be the other way that way, youll have more proof that silverorion is doing a bit of vandalism. USEDfan (talk) 08:04, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- yeah when i first started on here i had no idea what i was doing an dserved bans for what i did, but ive learned over the months and im pretty down with most things which is why i went to u for help with the edit war (im a bit mad that i was the good one and reported the edit war and since i stopped edit, the page got locked on their vandal way, hopefully the peopl i messaged will contact u 2marrow so we can settle this. USEDfan (talk) 08:13, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
The Used
You may have been expecting me to post here what I think about that article. I have pretty much said all there is to say at Talk:The Used#page locked due to SilverOrion. --Pwnage8 (talk) 13:17, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
...
so whats oging on with the used page now, are u gona unlock it so it be be re-edited, pwange8 has had lots of comments on te used talk page, if its unlocked i think we can keep the edit they have but i will add in the other info that they deleted so that way every1 should be happy. USEDfan (talk) 20:57, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
SilverOrion
hey remember me from last night, me and silverOrion were having a dispute aobut the used genre, i did a bit of reseach and if u look at their talk page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:SilverOrion there are 3 other topics about them changing genres and edit warring about genres on 3 other bands pages, it appears that all they ahve been doing on wikipedia is messing around and argueing about their opion on what a band genre is, i orginally had a source that said the used were screamo and they removed it and added one that siad the band doesnt want to be scremo and insisted that it said they werent scremo, i didnt realize this sooner, but i thought id bring it to ur attetntion that SilverOrion has an annoying habbit on setting bands genres to their own opinion and causing toruble with other wiki users as well, isnt that something that they shud be banned for? obvioulsy they have just been useing their account for bands genre wars. USEDfan (talk) 23:58, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
THE USED etc etc ..
yeah i think its time for me to say something here. Everything that USEDFan is complaining about, he/she is equally guilty of. Also USEDFan has been using puppet accounts and have constantly edited with opinions rather than fact. Whats worse, USEDFan seems to ignore my comments and continue on with his/her ramblings. PLUS USEDFan has recently EDITED MY TALK PAGE, DELETING MY COMMENTS.--SilverOrion (talk) 07:44, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
- woha i didnt delete ur comments, i edited over something i wrote, i dont ahve a sock puppet acounnt so i have no idea what ur talking about and im not guilty of anything. —Preceding unsigned comment added by USEDfan (talk • contribs) 04:28, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
hey
an agreement has been reached as seen here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:The_Used#PROPOSAL if ur not on now i will just request for the page to be unblocked. USEDfan (talk) 07:20, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
- the page has been unlocked.USEDfan (talk) 07:44, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

Landon1980 has been engaging in disruptive editing on August Burns Red, by ignoring the discussions on the talk page, falsely accusing me and another user of being "sockpuppets" and continuing to revert my edits for no reason--SilverOrion (talk) 09:54, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Speedy G7 of Hauser's Law
Hi, I saw that you declined that article under G7, and upon second inspection of the talk page I agree with you. The author's good-faith request for deletion can be found here. At this point is it possible to do CSD again, or do we need to prod the article or bring it to AfD?
Oh and one more question: does Help:Merging and moving pages still apply if no content was merged from Hauser's Law? I just replaced the page with a redirect and didn't merge any content. Thanks for your help. -FrankTobia (talk) 13:27, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
- If the main article were deleted, the the talk page would as well, no need to separately csd the talk. The appearance was of a merge being undertaken therefore the comment about H:MMP. A G7 still isn't possible in my opinion despite the link you've provided since it has been edited by more than one author since the original. Best to try a prod or afd at this point. Regards – Zedla (talk) 19:51, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
- You're right of course; I re-read CSD G7 and I saw that it's only valid if the author is the only significant contributor to the page. I think a prod will be best. Thanks again for your help and guidance. -FrankTobia (talk) 20:01, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
"Conad Kabir" Article
You marked the article for Speedy Deletion because the importance of the person was not stated. I made an attempt to create the article but it did not work as I do not know how to make references and link Wiki articles together. Also Conad Kabir is a young Russian DJ the on occasion performs in popular Russian clubs. I was wondering if you could help me create the article, your help would be greatly appreciated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by VasaPlok (talk • contribs) 04:53, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I know. I know it's not a (good) excuse, but I was in the middle of this and wasn't thinking clearly. I thought at first he was jsut another of the many "ethnic" vandals we get. I left a note on his talk page saying that I knew he was right. J.delanoygabsanalyze 21:03, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
