Swallow Hill Community College will be the replacement school for West Leeds High School and Wortley High School when the schools merge in 2009. The school is currently under construction on the West Leeds High School site. It is being built as part of the PFI incentive.
The new headteacher will be Bernard Knowles, who is currently Headteacher of Rhosnesni High School in Wrexham.
