WXIA-TV (Channel 11, 11 Alive) is a Gannett-owned television station in serving the Atlanta DMA. The station's transmitter is located at 110 Arizona Avenue Northeast, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Station timeline

  • 1951: Began as ABC affiliate WLTV broadcasting on channel 8
  • 1953: Moved to channel 11; callsign change to WLWA-TV
  • 1962: Callsign change to WAII-TV
  • 1968: Callsign change to WQXI-TV
  • 1974: Callsign change to WXIA-TV
  • 1980: Changed network affiliation to NBC (ABC went to WSB-TV 2)
