Ontario Provincial Highway 140 is a provincially maintained highway in the Niagara region in Ontario. Highway 140 currently serves as a connection between Highway 3 and Highway 406. Along with Highway 58, it links Port Colborne to Welland. From there, Highway 406 connects to Thorold, St. Catharines and the Queen Elizabeth Way.

Highway 140 is 11.0 km (6.8 miles) in length. It runs on the east side of the Welland Canal. As Highway 406 runs on the west side of the Canal, the two are linked by the Main Street Tunnel, technically a part of Niagara Regional Road 27 and the unsigned Highway 7146.

The highway was opened in 1972 as a part of the flurry of highway and railway rearrangements in the area due to construction of the Welland By-Pass on the Welland Canal.

The highway's future is uncertain as the Ontario Ministry of Transportation still has to make a decision on a location for the southward extension to Highway 406. There is a possibility, albeit not very likely, that it will be built on the east side of the canal, assuming the routing of Highway 140. If it is built on the west side, Highway 140 will most likely be downloaded to the Niagara regional government.
