Dinilysia is an extinct genus of snake from the Late Cretaceous (Coniacian) of South America.

The BBC website confirms Dinilysia as appearing in the last episode of the famous 1999 documentary series Walking with Dinosaurs as the snake encountered by two infant Tyrannosaurus, although the creature depicted is a modern day red-tailed boa and the episode in question is set in North America.
