Hanley Ramírez is a baseball player for the Portland Sea Dogs, after having played for the Boston Red Sox during Spring Training in 2005. Ramírez is one of the top prospects in the Red Sox organization. He spent the 2004 and 2005 seasons with Double-A Portland and was added to Boston's 40-man roster in 2005.

Hanley Ramirez was born in Samana in the Dominican Republic on December 23, 1983. He currently resides in Santo Domingo.

With Portland in 2004 Hanley hit .310, with 5 home runs, 15 RBIs, and 12 Stolen bases in 32 games.
