Tenoch was a ruler of the Azteca during the fourteenth century.

The Nahuatl symbols of his name are found in the Mexican Flag: Tetl, the rock, and Nochtli, the prickly pear cactus. The original name of Mexico City, Tenochtitlán, means "place founded by Tenoch". He was the first Aztec ruler, but is not considered an Aztec emperor.
