New version

New version created following the inconclusive Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Habashies. While no consensus emerged over specific action, there was agreement that a total rewrite was needed. So here goes... Tearlach 12:01, 21 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you want to write about those subjects which you nothing about?

I have been watching the discussion / voting on this post.

Democratically speaking, there were six votes, three in favor and three in against, in response to the question put forth by your buddy Zoe.

AND yet you decided to rewrite the post corroborating with your fellow "academics" and simply summarizing their view-point, "A SUFI RESPONSE TO POLITICAL ISLAMISM: AL-AHBASH OF LEBANON." In other words, your post is NOT neutral / impartial.

I have no idea why, why, why you want to touch / mess around with those subjects which you know nothing about.

Revert 3rd Sep 2005

I reverted the edits by 212.98.136.62 (talk · contribs) on grounds of non-neutrality (they removed links to an academic account of the topic and to a site critical of Al-Ahbash) and copyvio (text copied straight from the Shaykh ^Abdullah al-Harariyy page at aicp.org). Muslimunity (talk · contribs): when you edit, please leave the Wikipedia links intact. Otherwise, it just makes work for other editors who have to wikify the whole article again. Tearlach 12:58, 5 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Al-Ahbash / Habashies / AICP

Al-Ahbash / Habashies / AICP are NOT what Muslimunity is claiming in his/her "re-write". Al-Ahbash / Habashies / AICP are not even considered to be part of mainstream Muslims but a stray sect / cult nor they are part of any mainstream Islamic Shura (Consultative) or Fiqh (Jurisprudence) Council. Al-Ahbash / Habashies / AICP are NOTHING but innovators who are full of themselves and outcast 1.2 billion Muslims as non-Muslims and insist that their scholar is the only authority (See Islamic Decree pertinent to Al-Ahbash / Habashies by A Group of Islamic Researchers "Al-Ahbash: Evolution and Beliefs". Furthermore, they hide behind the skirt of Jamat Ahl Sunnah (Sunnis) in the West to promote their innovations in the name of Islam. Muslimunity seems to be the follower of Al-Ahbash / Habashies / AICP by himself/herself. Consequently, I have reverted edits back to the version of Tearlach which is at least - somewhat - neutral.

McKhan

McKhan's is a wahhabi biased view

The group named al-ahbash are a sunni group from lebanon. The books written by sheikh abdullah al-habashi from (al-habashah) are authorised and approved by the azhar of egypt, which is the biggest islamic authority in the world. The books of sheikh al-habashi are taught in kulliyat al-shari`ah (shariah college). The wahhabis of saudi arabia who carried out 9/11 employ people to sit on the internet and lauch hate campaigns against people who expose their fallacies and their non-sunni views. Enough said, the whole Muslim world is talking against their deviancy not just the ahbash sunni group of lebanon. I have reverted to muslimunity's post which is a much more succint and neutral view.
