Wikipedia:Cleanup
The cleanup page is a place where articles with problems (ungrammatical, poorly formatted, confused, etc.) can be listed. Any user can fix or list articles here.
Older cleanup: Category:Cleanup by month. Pages are archived by month, but are still in need of cleanup (or de-listing if they have already been cleaned up).

If you are here because you have found a page that needs attention, you are encouraged to be bold and edit the page yourself to fix the problem. If for some reason you don't have the expertise to fix the problems yourself, for example because you don't know enough about the relevant subject, you can request the attention of other editors as follows:
- Check "Resources for maintenance and collaboration" an inset text box on the right, to make sure there is not a more appropriate page on which to list the article.
- Add the most specific applicable tag to the article or its talk page (note that having a cleanup tag will be distracting for readers, so only add them to articles if there is a good reason). See Cleanup resources. For general problems, use {{cleanup-date|September 2005}}.
- Add your listing under today's date (UTC). Create a new section if yours is the first listing of the day.
- Explain what needs to be done in a brief but specific manner in the article's talk page. (Keep in mind not everyone who sees the cleanup tag on the article will see your central listing.)
- Sign your name, date and time by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ )
- Also remember that you can submit an article in need of cleanup to the Cleanup Taskforce (which is always looking for members).
For more detailed information about this page, see Wikipedia:Cleanup process.

- Space marine - needs to be wikified; much info needs to be added
- Annie Hall - a new editor has added a section, the tone of which is inappropriate. He has left a hostile message on my talk page, and sent a hostile e-mail to another editor. I'm going to need help sorting this out! The JPS 20:37, 6 September 2005 (UTC)

- Lasso programming language - Terrible formatting, editorial comments. Zoe 08:50, September 6, 2005 (UTC)
- Emmer Wheat - factual accuracy is extremely questionable! Please someone help revise and reference claims, already removed some statements as they literally made no sense. --BerserkerBen 14:32, 6 September 2005 (UTC)
- Maine Coon - Particularly the behavioral section was mostly just the author describing all the silly things their particular cat did, instead of noting traits of the entire breed. I cleaned it up a bit, but more needs to be done to clean up the article, and more factual notes about behavior could stand to be added. Praetorian42 15:16, 6 September 2005 (UTC)
- List of the largest subnational entities by area - The list is rather long - I think a table or perhaps a section or two is in order. Not saying the content needs shortened; I think just better formatting would help tremendously. Editing the list is a real bear. If you don't agree, feel free to delete the cleanup tag. Perhaps I'm wrong —akghetto (talk) 18:25, 6 September 2005 (UTC)
- Tolerance of religions - Bias claims based in opinion rather than fact; needs to be redone or deleted.

- Irish_people - Everything's in the wrong place and the whole thing is just confusing.
- Aura (paranormal) needs a bit of cleanup. I split it off from an omnibus Aura article that covered four topics at once, and so it wasn't seperated into different sections very well. Probably simply adding a few headings would work. -- Consumed Crustacean | Talk | 20:58, August 27, 2005 (UTC)

- Rococo Not very useful. Meandering, disorganized, and very vague. Writing needs to be worked over completly, and I suspect we may need new info too. I tagged it for cleanup, almost tagged as "cleanup-rewrite" instead but I'm new here. Lampros 04:12, 25 August 2005 (UTC)
- Shaitan was found on peer review. It seems a little confused about what it's covering, at least judging by comments in the article: I think this should refer to the islamic entity of Shaitan, as Iblis does not correspond to Satan and probably partly due to that it's language is extremely unclear. It also is seriously lacking sources. I rewrote the introduction, but then got scared that I don't have a sufficient clue to continue. Mozzerati 20:50, August 24, 2005 (UTC)
- Samovar Have worked to remove various first-person fluffery, but the bottom section on electric samovars is beyond me as I don't know anything about electricity. This should be simple for anybody more mechanically inclined. Tim Rhymeless (Er...let's shimmy) 03:59, 24 August 2005 (UTC)

- John Bigelow The bottom section was added by anonymous user 142.32.208.233 and reads like a potential vanity addition to a legitimate entry. This 2nd Bigelow, described as "Chief Pilot for Pan Am" and developer of "the Bigelow Manoeuvre" (the only references I could find to this on Google were citations of this Wikipedia entry), sounds dubious. Can anyone else either verify or (if bogus) cleanup? Thanks.-MollyTheCat 03:17, 24 August 2005 (UTC)

- Andrés Galarraga - It appears that this article takes the wrong tone for an encyclopaedic article, may violate NPV, contains virtually innumerable grammatical errors, may contain too much information for an article on any baseballer who hasn't been inducted to the Hall of Fame, and represents pronunciation by comparison to English syllabic construct rather than proper use of the IPA in the initial pronunciation information on the subject's name. Chrysicat 13:59, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
- Robust_Nuclear_Earth_Penetrator - Grammatically poor, POV style. --81.77.241.106 06:58, 16 August 2005 (UTC)

- Sodium dithionite, Sodium dithionate - Substubs - only contain a chemical reaction. (An encyclopedia article about a compound should contain more than just a formula for a reaction which produces it.) - Mike Rosoft 16:36, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
- Delta Tau Delta - Not awful, but there is a certain amount of first-person material ("we" and "our", which makes me suspect that there may be some POV as well) and a lot of the history is written in the present tense. -Aranel ("Sarah") 21:12, 17 August 2005 (UTC)
- Society of Intitiates Completely unwikified and, as noted on the talk page "Needs more about what it is and less about what it is not." Needs real help from someone with a knowledge of Martinism. Is there anything in French Wikipedia that might help us? --Cje 22:00, 17 August 2005 (UTC)

- Leap year starting on Monday and the other Common/Leap year starting on (weekday) articles need to be standardized. The most glaring problem is that the linked article uses a very different calendar format from the others, but there are other inconsistencies concerning text displayed at the top of the page, use of borders, text near the links to the other pages, etc. - FunnyMan 15:08, August 15, 2005 (UTC)
- World's tallest structures used to delineate between the clear record holders before the mid 20th century, and the muddle that comes after, as the first paragraph states. However, a user has now renamed the table referenced in the first sentence of the article (breaking the link) and added data to it past the clear dividing line. The information may be useful somewhere on the page so I hate to simply revert it, but sorry I do not have time to move everything around. --Pascal666 02:35, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
- Jedi Civil War is way too detailed and needs to be checked for NPOV and encyclopedic tone in addition to being pared down. Great job for an objective Star Wars fan. Fernando Rizo T/C 04:19, 16 August 2005 (UTC)

- Jewish history in Colonial America has a lot of information, but no organization or structure. There's a great deal of information on the 19th century will need to be merged somewhere else. Apparantly the title is also problematical. -Acjelen 06:01, 14 August 2005 (UTC)

- Institute on Religion and Democracy: this is written almost entirely from the POV of the organization itself, and mostly reads like an IRD propaganda leaflet. Severe POV problems: needs to be rewritten in NPOV style. - WFAN (AM) includes a substantial amount of material on WNBC which needs wikifying, while at the same time, the material includes some items which are already mentioned in previous edits. I think that there might be copyrighted material in the recent edit to include WNBC history, but I haven't found anything. I also suggest that the WNBC section should be made into a seperate article. - Wolfert Acker, Syboat Acker, Steven Acker, Abraham Acker, and Abraham Ecker (of which some are C-U tagged, but don't appear to have been listed here previously): all 5 arose from two editing sessions (20 minutes and 6 hours, respectively, within the same 16 hour period) by the same editor. They would be a cluster of orphans but for navigational pages and new lks from both The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (added by him then) and Washington Irving (added by an anon IP the day before). Each contains almost exclusively genealogical data, including apparent orig res. All but Wolfert are IMO clear cases for VfD, and unless research shows more evidence of his notability than is currently stated, i would vote for deletion en masse of the five (and the rdrs to them). --Jerzy·t 06:31, 2005 August 2 (UTC)

- Liberty Meadows & Frank Cho: Anyone heard of this, or done the Google testing? Is it Copy-vio? It sounds like the author's own promotional web page; should it be VfD'd, CP-ed, or scrubbed with a stiff encyclopedicity brush?Jerzy·t
