The Second Division B is a championship of the Spanish Football.

The Second Division B is divided in four groups of 20 teams each. It depends of the Royal Spanish Football Federation.

History

Second division B, how the First and Second division, is a championship that is celebrated every year.

It began to disputed itself in the season 77-78. Only had two groups.

In year 1987 other two groups were added forming one Second division B with four groups. At the moment there are 80 teams in Second division B.

Competition System

Is similar to the system of First and Second Division.

In Second Division B there are four groups (Group I, Group II, Group III and Group IV).

In each group, 20 teams participates.

Promotion

The four first of each group plays the playoff of ascent.

Relegation

The four latest are relegated to Third Division.

The teams in 16th position plays two's of permanence.
