Congrats

You're a bureaucrat! In fact, your promotion was my first bureaucratic action. :-) Regards — Dan | Talk 18:20, 6 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Wow! congrats. Of course, that goes without saying. You owe me a treat ;), what else but a new featured article, perhaps Tamil cuisine or Constitution of India or some other Indian topic of your choice. -- Sundar \talk \contribs 19:05, September 6, 2005 (UTC)
My congratulations as well. 'twas a pleasure. So what's next? Arbitrator? Steward? GodPrince? :) Well, keep up the good work. Hey, if your taking requests, Indian family name is a topic I looked up and could use some work... (Oh and did I fix my userpage? Thanks for telling me.) Dmcdevit·t 19:08, September 6, 2005 (UTC)
A whole country, that's a worthy goal. Yeah the blue and green boxes are two separate ones. Is in showing up correctly? When I put my computer on 800x600 it does. Dmcdevit·t 19:18, September 6, 2005 (UTC)
I know a transwiki script that always needs more helpers... But that's probably not the bot you're looking for :) Dmcdevit·t 19:22, September 6, 2005 (UTC)
Hah, an article generator. You already have one of those, it's right here! Wow, Tibet. Actually: wow, Bombay. I've lived hours from Mexico all my life and never made it across the border. Dmcdevit·t 19:30, September 6, 2005 (UTC)
No worries, mate. Try not to use your powers for evil. :) --Ngb ?!? 19:13, 6 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Well done on your promotion, Nicholas. Look forward to your forthcoming work on (at least one of) the Governors of Bombay in the future. All the best, jguk 19:37, 6 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats on the bureacratship. You'll make a great addition to the current crop. Guettarda 19:52, 6 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats as well. Be sure not to become a "rogue bureaucrat"! ;-) Flcelloguy | A note? | Desk 22:10, 6 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The fifth Test

You won't see me on the telly. My tickets for each day are at the top of the pavilion, and they never film the crowd there (apart from a distance when you can't make anyone out). How's the series being covered in India? Reports here suggest all the cricketing world is tuning in, jguk 19:47, 6 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats

Congrats on your well-deserved promotion :). I have faith that you will execute your duties with dignity and assiduity.

Yep, I kinda know a thing or two about Jamaican cricketers. What can I do to help?

sorry for the slipup

RE: your post sorry to have misspelled your log in name, Nichalp.

I saw it right in my head, mentally, but when typing mistakes occur. I think I spelled it right most of the times, and I understand the proper respect showed to people by properly addressing them. (I usually use a spell checker, and program it to recognize peoples' log in names, but I must've been in a hurry that time -in fact, I sometimes fix minor spelling errors of others in the talk pages, in the hopes that they won't mind, and always try to fix spelling errors on both article pages and also my own spelling errors -sorry once again, and thank you for catching my slip up.--GordonWattsDotCom 21:43, 6 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

After looking through the article, I placed it on FAC. However, at this point I am hoping that no idiot decides to add something that can detract from the article. Pentawing 23:18, September 6, 2005 (UTC)

Congrats on your B'cratship. I like the structure of the Ann Arbour and have tried it out on the Canberra article, see User:Petaholmes/Sandbox/Canberra, could you let me know what you think, I'm still undecided on the use of H3's in this kind of article, but the way it has been set out in the Ann Arbor article is very logical, and potenitally improves on the existing structures.--nixie 02:32, 7 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • I expanded the utilties section. I also reworded the sister cities (the other cities are still Ann Arbor's sister cities). Pentawing 22:05, September 7, 2005 (UTC)

Your B'cratship

Congratulations on your elevation to the position of a bureaucrat, and I am sure that the community of Wikipedia shall benefit from your actions as a bureaucrat. I wish you all the best in your new role and responsibility. As regards, your other query about nominating me for adminship, I shall surely take up the challenge if the community of wikipedians so decides. I thank you for reposing confidence in me, and I feel privileged that you shall be nominating me. Next Saturday (10.09.2005) evening or any day thereafter shall be fine for me. Thanks again. --Bhadani 06:47, 7 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Nice comments on the FA candidate page! We need more of this; too many FA candidates with serious shortcomings are being approved, in my view. Tony

PS, Do you have time to look over the iMac article, and commenting at peer review? Tony 08:18, 7 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Nicholas, that was more than I expected; I can't believe that you're only 22! If I can repay you by adding my twopence worth of editing somewhere, please don't hesitate. Tony 13:38, 7 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Cricket

Hmmm...I don't know if I am the right person to participate... For one, I am not a hardcore fan, more of a casual fan. To make matters worse, I have been in the US for 8 or the last 11 years. But mostly, I am just so pissed off with the WIndies board (incompetence, anti-Trini bias, anti-Indian bias) and unhappy with the last 15 years of WIndies cricket...between the fact that I can't get live coverage (except cricinfo) and that they have been doing so heartbreakingly badly almost since I have been following cricket...I have a hard time caring any more these days. On the other hand, maybe it wouild do me good to focus on some aspect of cricket... Guettarda 12:39, 7 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Happy bureaucratship to you from my side. I hope you're awake, cause I hardly am now.

P.S. I couldn't wikify the page. When you're done with Bhutan could you look through it and correct any mistakes.

P.P.S. I will be doing the directive principles next, so <threat> don't even touch them </threat>.

P.P.P.S. I also included this in Writs

Popups tool

Congratulations on being made a bureaucrat! I thought you might like to know of a javascript tool that may help in your editing by giving easy access to many admin features. It's described at Wikipedia:Tools#Navigation_popups. The quick version of the installation procedure for admins is paste the following into User:Nichalp/monobook.js:

// [[User:Lupin/popups.js]] - please include this line

document.write('<script type="text/javascript" src="'
             + 'http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Lupin/popups.js'
             + '&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript&dontcountme=s"></script>');

popupAdminLinks=true;

Give it a try and let me know if you find any glitches or have suggestions for improvements! Lupin 02:28, 8 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
