Nintendo development divisions

Nintendo is organized into several internal divisions that stand for many of the world's most highly regarded games. These divisions are split into different groups, some of who create the hardware which is used to play the software other divisions create. Some internal divisions are "christened" with names to give credit to their work.

Nintendo Entertainment Analysis & Development (EAD)

Nintendo Integrated Research & Development (IRD)

Nintendo Technology & Development

This division houses the engineers who develop the hardware which Nintendo has created over the years. They are currently working on the Nintendo Revolution.

Nintendo Software Production & Development

This division was created to stand for the production of software which are being created by subsidiary and partnered studios like Retro Studios, Kuju Entertainment and n-Space.
