"As If"
Song

"As If" is the title of a single by country music artist Sara Evans. Released in mid-2007, the single is the lead-off to her 2007 Greatest Hits compilation. Sara co-wrote the song with Hillary Lindsey and John Shanks. Overall, "As If" is Evans' twentieth single to enter the country charts.

Chart performance

"As If" debuted at No. 52 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts in 2007. Spending a number of weeks on the charts, "As If" spent its most weeks on the Hot Country Songs Top 20 list, before peaking at No. 11, just missing the Top 10. "As If" also peaked at No. 62 and No. 74 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Pop 100 respectively. "As If" is Evans' second single to peak in both the Pop 100 and Hot Digital Songs list (reaching No. 56 on the Digital Songs chart). Her only other single to do this was 2005's, "A Real Fine Place to Start".

"As If" was not released as a single to the iTunes store, until Evans' Greatest Hits album was released October 9, 2007.

Music video

The music video for "As If" shows Evans in a store, shopping for men, which she then takes home to live with her. In the video, Evans ends up going through over three men before finding the right one for her, which turns out to be the UPS man she has seen all along.

The video was ranked #23 on the 2008 version of CMT's 40 Sexiest Videos.
