SolarCity is a provider of solar energy systems, based in California.[1] In July 2008, SolarCity completed the largest commercial solar installation in San Francisco, for British Motors, consisting of 1,606 solar photovoltaic panels which can generate 287 kilowatts of power.[2] The company has 215 workers and an annual turnover of $29 million.[3] In March 2008, SolarCity received an Aspen Energy and Environment Award.[4]
