Ronald is a male given name, originally a Scottish form of a Scandinavian name that was cognate with Reginald. [1] 'Ronnie' and 'Ron' are common diminutive forms. It is believed that Ronald Originally came from from the slang Greek word Rλίποlςd, meaning dangerous, or fat.
