Happy editing! -- Longhair | Talk 02:56, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Hi. Thanks for adding the picture Image:Queensdrive.JPG of Queen's Drive to Invercargill. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? Looking at the picture I'm guessing that you took it yourself in which case you would want to release it under the GFDL, so just go here and add {{gfdl}}. If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much, Evil Monkey∴Hello 03:30, Jun 18, 2005 (UTC)
- Image tags are basically just a way of letting other editors know about the copyright of the image. For instance under GFDL a person grants permission to copy, distribute and/or modify the document or image under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation. This includes commercial use. GFDL is the license you agree to when you upload the image if you are the copyright holder. Don't worry if you don't understand all of this -- I've been here for a couple of years and there is still heaps I don't know about Wikipedia.
- And don't worry that much about layout on Invercargill. The problem with that page is the huge table, that takes over the page. I'll make the map smaller and see if I fit your photo in. It is a welcome addition to the page. Evil Monkey∴Hello 03:50, Jun 18, 2005 (UTC)
- One more thing -- always remember to sign your posts on talk page by typing ~~~~</wiki> at the end. This adds your username and the time. ~~~~
