Orsa Municipality
Orsa Municipality is a Municipality in Dalarna County, in central Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 1743.5 km², and has a population of 6 986, with a population density of 4 inhabitants per km².
Geography
Its seat is in Orsa with 5,200 inhabitants, situated at 61°07′N 14°37′E / 61.117°N 14.617°E. This town is located on the north-eastern shore of Lake Orsa (Orsasjön) that has an area of 53 km². Through a strait it is connected with lake Siljan, one of Sweden's largest lakes, to the south.
Nature
By the shores of Orsasjön the Orsa Camping was inaugurated in 1932. With a kilometer long sandy beach, it has several times one awards for its quality and beauty, and is by some referred to as the Dalecarlia Riviera.
Nature sights include the Grönklitt mountain, that houses a notable Bear park and skiing hill. The bear park is an enclosed area where not only bears but also wolves, lynx and wolverines reside.
