Image:Devanagari sample from hindi WP.PNG: OB, OR, and also wrong (does not display devanagari correctly, which was once its purpose). Obsoleted by Image:Hindi sample.png. Both are screenshots of Hindi wikipedia, to show on the Devanagari page, which now uses a picture of an old scroll instead. -Lethe | Talk 10:24, 25 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
- Disagree. the scroll is nice, but I think it is also useful to show modern-day writing. remember that not everyone can see the devanagari text in the article: I see 'Devanāgarī (?????????)' on my system. Image:Miss Carey.jpg - In the corner of the image, it says that it came from MariahDaily.com (though they are not the original copyright holder). This may imply to some people that Wikipedia is affiliated with and endorses MariahDaily.com, when it doesn't.
