European Physiology Modules (ESA / D. Ducros)

The European Physiology Modules (EPM) is a Payload of the Columbus Laboratory. The EPM rack is built by OHB-System in Bremen.

It includes some science container for medical experiments.


The following science container are included.

  • Multi-Electrode Electroencephalography Module (MEEMM) - For neurologic scans of the brain. It's built from EREMS in Toulouse.
  • Samples Collection Kid (SCK) - Collection of different medical instuments and boxes for biologic probes.
  • Cardiolab (CDL) - To scan the cardiovascular system. It's built from CADMOS in Toulouse

EPM is operated according to ESA's decentralised payload operation concept. The FRC (Facility Responsible Centre) for EPM is CADMOS, located in Toulouse, France.
