The Ichthys (Greek language for fish) is a symbol consisting of two intersecting arcs resembling the profile of a fish, which was used by the early Christians as a secret symbol.

There are several possible allegorical references to fish, and to Jesus as a "fisher of men" as well as a possible rebus relating the Greek letters of "Ichthys" to a statement of Christian faith.
