Rythm on two hearts

‘’’Marcel Lempereur-Haut’’’ (b. 1898 in Liège- d. 1986 Lille) was a Belgian painter. He takes drawing lessons at the Liège Academy of Fine Years. He obtains a diploma of surveyor and, after World War 1 he works as technical draughtsman. In 1920, he is joins the group publishing the “Anthologie” art magazine. He starts his artistic career by producing book illustrations and prints, mostly inspired by cubism. After 1923, he befriends František Kupka and directs his work towards abstract art. Starting 1932, he participates in the exhibitions of the musicalist artists.

He lives in Paris from 1945 to 1958, and participates in the exhibitions of the “Réalités nouvelles” salons. At this stage of his activity his work consists mostly of combinations of circles, spirals and stars. His later works are mostly decorative.
