Spiral Tribe is a freetekno soundsystem which existed in first half of 1990's. They originated in the west London and later travelled across Europe and were rumoured to have spent some time in South America and Asia.

They were responsible for numerous party in and around the South of England including the Camden round house Christmas and new years eve 91, Numbers Farm, Kings Langley, Herts Feb 92, and The Uni-Chem warehouse party Uxbridge, (where the police had to enter using a JCB digger through the wall as all the doors were locked at 9am Sunday morning to allow the party to continue for as long as possible, this was one of the things that made them a legend in their time). August Bank holiday 1991 they held a rave for 2 weeks on Bodmin moor Cornwall for two weeks solid, when they combined their sound system with circus normal (to achieve a system of over 25,000 watts RMS) receiving complaints from over 14 miles away, despite police presure they partied on till all the people went home.

At their parties they introduced stimulants such as ketamine, DO-ET, and STP to the rave scene which their resident chemist produced to order each party from recipies printed in the anachists cookbook a well know outlawed publication in the UK.

Some members of the collective went on to produce their own music and signed to the Big Life label probably as a result of the publicity generated from their involvement in the organisation of the Castlemorton Common Festival free party in 1992 along with a number of other soundsystems including Bedlam, circus warp and DIY.

In March 1994, after being acquitted of all charges relating to that event, some of them moved to Paris, remaining there for the rest of that year. From there the collective slowly dispersed throughout Europe with some members taking up residence in Germany and Holland, releasing work on Labworks and many other techno labels.
