During the last trimester the baby actually hears what is going on outside, this is how it can tell who the mom is. Also, due to how neurons grow (will go into depth later) it is good to do things such as playing mozart, read Mozart Effect. It's disputed about it "making you smarter" but this is not true, it doesn't. What it does do is cause more stimulus for your brain cells, keeping them alive, because neurons only grow for so long, then its "use them or loose them".

Things to do

  • play mozart - last trimester
  • see a nutrisionist
  • try to stay out of stressful situations
  • seek out a good doctor

Things not to do

  • drink
  • smoke
  • do drugs
  • go on eating binges of one type of food. Later I will go in to what it means when you are craving certain bits of food and what you are lacking in your diet.
  • argue - really only matters during last trimester
  • take medication of _any_ kind. will go into differences of (Kyle, remember chapter2 about motrin)
  • eat rare steaks. - health dept. regulations prohibit the service of rare or undercooked meats to pregnant women (check on this)
  • clean kitty litter boxes. Taxoplasmosis
