Re: 3RR

Hmm. I'm not sure if this is blatant vandalism or no. Based on the IP's first contrib, he is obviously not new here. He is now going around undoing others' reversions of his edits under various other similar IP addresses. I left him a warning. (as well as an attempt to backhand him off to the boys on the French Wikipedia. :P )J.delanoygabsadds 23:01, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

216.211.126.197 (talk) 23:10, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I will copy this to the IP's page. This conversation is highly fragmented, but this comment seems to be in answer to J.delanoy's comment to the IP. Darkspots (talk) 01:05, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I blocked his latest IP for 24 hours for edit-warring with multiple IPs. I've also watchlisted the pages he commonly attacks, and I will block any new IPs that show up. My patience for continuing this charade has run out. Expecially in light of his comment above, which is roughly translated Well, why did you give me the [some French idiom that Google can't figure out]? Just because my primary language is French does not give you the authority to exile me entirely to the French site. I have the same rights as both of you to edit the English Wikipedia. That attitude does not suggest a constructive contributor. J.delanoygabsadds 14:06, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You're probably right. There is no question he understands English. I don't understand how people think they can get away with stuff like that. I mean "oh, wow. my IP address is now 24 places higher, and I'm making the exact same edits. No one will notice... J.delanoygabsadds 14:59, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

sandbox

I have been informed by my friend User:La Pianista about having a private sandbox, I just haven't got around to doing it yet. Thanks ~ HJHLady Renegade 02:01, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There have been some substantial changes to the page based on your objections. Can you please read the new version to see if it changes your opinion on if it should be a guideline. --Barberio (talk) 04:17, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know. I'll have a look at it. Darkspots (talk) 07:00, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

There must have been at least two times in warned for a sandbox entry. Dlohcierekim 14:37, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It wasn't you-- I saw a thread where the situation was different. Anyway, your dif was what I based that part of my oppose on, and I'm glad you helped me get my thoughts clear. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 15:30, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Picture templates

Hi,

Following the discussion at the Village Pump about picture templates, I am just making sure that everybody there knows that there is a proposal to deprecate and remove images that say 'this is not an image please add one'. Feel free to vote. Regards Lightmouse (talk) 15:17, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Darkspots (talk) 16:04, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I see we have both been noticed back-to-back for the picture-template discussion. What are we to do now? Bilodeauzx (talk) 19:55, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, Bilodeauzx, I think you and I are pretty much in agreement on this one. In any case, I left a recommendation to delete the placeholders from existing articles at the discussion that Lightmouse linked to above, but I think no consensus has emerged yet. Darkspots (talk) 22:19, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I see we've met before. Darkspots (talk) 07:25, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
