June 2008

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from 2 Girls 1 Cup. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Kate Mara, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. dissolvetalk 07:06, 7 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Protection

Hi. Just so you know, adding protection templates to articles (like you did to Colbie Caillat) will not protect them - only administrators can protect pages. -- P.B. Pilhet 01:46, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Release dates

Please do not change release dates as did in Paper Trail. Per WP:ALBUMS#Released, the earliest release date should be placed in the infobox. There is no priority of one country over another under any circumstance. DiverseMentality(Boo!) 18:25, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Dashboard prophets

A tag has been placed on Dashboard prophets requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ecoleetage (talk) 18:19, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
