Chinguacousy Secondary School (Template:PronEng listen) is a high school located in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

Chinguacousy Secondary School is one of the major highschools in the Bramalea area. Since 2000, the school's enrollment has expanded dramatically with the development of the surrounding area.

The school's hours are 8:00 am – 2:30 pm. The school runs a schedule based on five periods of one hour and fifteen minutes in length.

It is well known for their school sports teams and athletic programs having won a number of OFSAA championships; wrestling (1991, 1992, 1993, 1995), curling (1996, 1998), and rugby (1982). More recently Chinguacousy became competitive in basketball and has won several titles since 2000.

Breakfast Program

Chinguacousy Secondary School students are essential ingredients in making the school's breakfast program run each day. Each week, this team of student volunteers helps provide more than 300 breakfasts to their schoolmates. Each day between 7 and 10 a.m., about 60 students have access to a nutritious and fresh breakfast consisting of bagels, cheese spreads, juices, cereals, milk, cereal bars for 50 cents. The breakfast program volunteers must maintain an excellent academic average to participate.

Shooting Incident

On November 9 2005, an 18-year-old student was shot in the parking lot of Chinguacousy Secondary School shortly before 8:00 a.m., when classes begin. The student managed to make it to the front office, where an ambulance was called. The shooting was not fatal. Students at the school were forced to undergo lock down procedure for the majority of the day as ETF teams searched the school for the shooter. The shooter was not found and it is postulated that he was probably not a student at the school. The event was met with a public outcry regarding the increasing violence between ethnic gangs in the school and in the general area of Brampton, Ontario.

Stabbing Incident

On January 15 2008, a 16 year old was stabbed inside the school shortly before 10am. Lockdown procedures were immediately initiated and the School Police Emergency Action Response (S.P.E A.R) program was activated for the safety of the students and staff. Police arrested a 17 year old student following a search of the school. The lockdown was then lifted and classes resumed as normal for the rest of the day. The 16 year old victim was not a student of Chinguacousy and was hit as many as four times in the neck, but his injuries weren't life threatening and he was kept overnight in hospital for observation.
