- Also, the names of racehorses Phar Lap, Secretariat and Bonecrusher
- The nickname of the sports teams of Cornell University and Denison University, and a secondary nickname for the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Indiana University Bloomington. Some fans of University of Wisconsin have tried to add ths name to UW, but it has not caught on.
- The mascot of the Western Kentucky University Hilltoppers and of the National Football League's Arizona Cardinals.
