Hello - You had noted this page as an advertisement. I cited sources such as Treasury & Risk magazine, IndustryWeek magazine, Redmond Magazine, Harvey Spencer associates and provided links to external videos as supporting documentation. What do I need to do to prevent deletion?

Hello
I've just joined Wikipedia. I followed a redlink under the Laurence R. Horn article to create scalar implicature and then a template appeared saying it was nonsense. This is a standard concept in pragmatics, what is the problem? Americanlinguist (talk) 18:59, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- No references maybe better to merge the page with Pragmatics Ochib (talk) 19:01, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- I am going to add references tomorrow morning. Only one sixth finished. Best Americanlinguist (talk) 19:18, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

- Hello why do you say this is patent nonsense? I have publications in this area (indeed I am speaking at a conference next month) - are you an expert in this area? Americanlinguist (talk) 21:26, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Hello Ochib, please see my comment on WP:AN about your tagging of the scalar implicature page. May I suggest that it's generally not a good idea to csd-tag new pages within the first minute of their existence, even with quite obviously bad ones, but especially not when it's an article on a specialised subject that you don't really understand but the author identifies themselves as an expert? - Hi Ochib. There does not seem to be a clear basis for your Patent nonsense tag of the scalar implicature artcle. Also, I think people use at least 5-minute time buffer in tagging new pages with something like Wikipedia:Patent nonsense. -- Suntag ☼ 15:08, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
