Corporate history

Zultys was founded in 2001 by Ian Milnes during the IP Telephony boom of the late 1990s and early 2000s. In 2006, after bidding by Omaha, Nebraska-based InPath Devices and Pivot VoIP, Zultys was bought out by Pivot VoIP for US$2.65 million plus debt obligations, and operations and product portfolios were merged with Pivot. Pivot VoIP (established by former Zultys engineers) was backed by Israeli IP telephony company Telrad Connergy as an outlet to OEM their products through the Zultys channel and product line. When Telrad's strategy changed to sell direct, on April 30, 2008, Telrad Connegy's Chairman and CEO Avi Wienrib subsequently sold his stake in the company. Majority interest in the company is currently held by an undisclosed angel investor. In June 2008, the company recruited an experienced Silicon Valley businessman to lead the company through its next stage of expansion. Steve Rothenberg has focused the company on growing through a selected network of VARS that are specially trained and knowlegeable about telephony and VOIP[1]
