Blues for the Red Sun is a 1992 (see 1992 in music) album by stoner metal band Kyuss. Their second album, Blues for the Red Sun is one of the earliest pioneering recordings in stoner metal, a bass-heavy, grungey form of heavy metal. Along with Spine of God by Monster Magnet, it is considered one of the pillars of stoner metal.

This album ranked at #37 for Top 100 Albums of 1992 by Rate Your Music.

In 2001 Q magazine named it as one of the 50 Heaviest Albums Of All Time.
