I see you wrote most of this article. This will be the featured article on the New Zealand portal page in a couple of days' time. I and others have done some copyediting on it, but could you please cast an eye over it for any factual errors which may have been introduced in the process.
Also, if you're in a position to do so, it would be nice to have a summary paragraph about his importance to New Zealand writing/poetry. I've asked others as well if they could provide such a summary.-gadfium 03:12, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Blood type
Would it be possible to reword your edit on Blood type (the one from a lecture given by forensic scientist). It is bit hard to grok as it is. Thanks. Pavel Vozenilek 00:02, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, it is better. Pavel Vozenilek 03:14, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Image of Larisa Latynina
Hi, Zeimusu
The evidence for public domain can be seen at Image:Larisa Latynina.jpg, though I don't know whether this is true or not. You should ask User:Cmapm who uploaded that image. --Voyager 28 June 2005 09:32 (UTC)
- Hi. Well, for this image, I didn't dig into copyright issue details, because I used image with the same source and the same tag as an example (Image:Ray Ewry.jpg). Perhaps I was wrong to do so. Unfortunately, I haven't enough time to dig into it now, if you believe, that another tag should be more suitable, would you be so kind to replace it yourself? I'm sorry. Best regards. Rum Image
The reason I removed the image from rum is that I am planning to submit the article to WP:FAC. Having an image of unknown source is a common objection given against candidate articles, and I felt it was better to avoid the problem entirely. --Allen3 talk July 1, 2005 11:18 (UTC)
- I have returned the image inside of comments as you suggested. --Allen3 talk July 1, 2005 14:39 (UTC)
Request for Children's Drawing
Hi Zeimusu,
On the Requested pictures page you asked for some on children's drawing.
Here's a few samples from our boy:
http://218.101.48.33/~tom2/images/Picture3.jpg Aged 2.5, a smiley face with 'writing underneath' http://218.101.48.33/~tom2/images/Picture6.jpg Aged 2.5 'blue fish, large and small'. Carefully drawn. http://218.101.48.33/~tom2/images/Picture4.jpg Aged 4.5 http://218.101.48.33/~tom2/images/Picture5.jpg Ditto
These are crude pictures taken with my cellphone. Let me know if any of them take your fancy and I'll do a proper job. I don't mind what they're used for. If you are interested I might need your help through the process.
Cheers
- OK, as requested all four are available from the Commons:

- image:Child_Art_Aged_4.5_Person_1.png
- image:Child_Art_Aged_4.5_Person_2.png
I'm not too taken with the contrast on the colour ones, though they're reasonably true to the original. Let me know if you're any good with manipulating them! Will leave you to add them to the Child art page and adjust request on the pictures page. Barefootguru 08:08, 10 July 2005 (UTC)

Thank you for your educated comments. Somehow I suspect that this poster will not be back. I hope I am wrong. Paul, in Saudi 12:03, 12 July 2005 (UTC)

Old-fashioned bass clef
Hey, that old-fashioned bass clef you posted at clef looks great! Did you do that from scratch or did you clean up the one I posted? --Angr/tɔk tə mi 18:41, 16 July 2005 (UTC)

I've added the Fair Use tag onto the page already, for your information. I should have added this and I forgot. I don't upload pictures that often, I do editings. I'm trying to make the pages of all the former Governors of Hong Kong look more presentable, with pictures and all. This is a large project! --Arbiteroftruth 06:56, 18 July 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for the tip, I just started welcoming. --Eliezer 04:39, 19 July 2005 (UTC)

numerals, principals
Hello. Since you teach English, you may find it useful to know the difference between principal (ending with -al) and principle (ending with -le), and maybe even between number systems and numeral systems (I've just done some editing of abjad numerals). Michael Hardy 21:44, 15 August 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks, you know I can't spell nessessary or speicies either. Zeimusu | (Talk page) 05:14, August 16, 2005 (UTC)

ed it. For some reason I thought that this process was automatic now. I quess this is what i get for thinking. i get to be wrong . . . . . . ... again. Carptrash 04:56, 24 August 2005 (UTC) though you might have to remove the big RED thing on the picture.
- PS I posted apicture earlier at Samuel Cashwan of Cashwan. On the picture page I explained my process, but perhaps it should be labeled "fair use" ? I suspect that you understand these things better than I do. Carptrash 05:01, 24 August 2005 (UTC)

Genrelization
I understand that this is Wikipedia, an encyclopedia, this is my mistake. Once I realized what I had done, I re-posted this entry in Wiktionary. Wiktionary deleted it within less than 12 hours from me posting it initially calling it spam/vandalism and then telling me it was a mis-spelling of the word generalization and conlcluding that there was not enough evidence that this word was in use as a real word.....how can I fix this? rm81dragon 8:00, 16 September 2005
WP:CP
Hi, you've reported copyright infringements to WP:CP in the last week, a new measure was recently passed to allow the speedy deltion of new pages that are cut and paste copyvios. Please follow these instructions if you come across this type of copyvio. Thanks. --nixie 00:00, 6 October 2005 (UTC)
Blatant copyright infringements may now be "speedied"
If an article and all its revisions are unquestionably copied from the website of a commercial content provider and there is no assertion of permission, ownership or fair use and none seems likely, and the article is less than 48 hours old, it may be speedily deleted. See CSD A8 for full conditions. After notifying the uploading editor by using wording similar to:
on their talk page, add
to the article in question, leaving the content visible. An administrator will examine the article and decide whether to speedily delete it or not. |
