The Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) Women's Knockout Championship (also known as the TNA Women's Championship or the TNA Knockout Championship) is a professional wrestling championship used in a women's division of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.
History
TNA first publicly announced intentions to create a women's division and title through their "TNA Mobile" service on September 12 2007.[1] The title creation coincided with an increase in time for TNA's main television program, TNA Impact!, from one to two hours.[2]
Current champion
The current champion is Awesome Kong, who is in her second reign. She defeated Taylor Wilde for the title on the October 23, 2008 episode of TNA Impact!.
