Male-Unbonding was the second episode of the hit sitcom Seinfeld to be made, and the third to be shown. It aired on June 30 1990. It is the only exception to the rule of Seinfeld episode titles starting with "The".

In the episode, Jerry has problems with a childhood friend, Joel Horneck, who persists in keeping in touch. George obsesses over a girlfriend dumping him for floss-related reasons. This was the first episode to show Elaine, who helps Jerry make excuses not to see Joel. Kramer comes up with an idea about "a pizza place where you make your own pie."
