Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar, also known as Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia (born September 9, 1967), is an Indian actor working in Bollywood.

Biography

He worked as a waiter in Bangkok before dabbling in to films. He studied martial arts in Hong Kong and is sometimes referred to as the "Bruce Lee of India". His first Bollywood film was Saugandh. Though most of his movies are action films, he recently played the kind-hearted fiancé of Madhuri Dixit in Dil To Pagal Hai and most recently Amitabh Bachchan's son in Waqt (2005).

At different times, Kumar has dated Bollywood actors and his co-stars Pooja Batra, Raveena Tandon, Rekha and Shilpa Shetty, until after his engagement to Twinkle Khanna, the daughter of Bollywood actors Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. He is since married to her and has a son by her, Araav Bhatia, born September 15 2002.
