I'm Bender. I've been a Wikipedian since September of 2003, but I really began contributing in earnest in 2004. My first article of 2004 (10 hours into the new year) was for the anime, City Hunter.

Things that interest me that I contribute to from time to time:

  • Anime - I try to write up articles on shows, especially those that are out in Japan right now (since I'm watching most of them). At any given time, I may be following 10-15 different shows.
  • Military (and military history) - I started out filling in photographs for battleships and aircraft carriers that I found on public domain U.S. Navy sites. Then I took on filling in the holes of missing ships. This is a massive undertaking (as the U.S. Navy has had thousands and thousands of ships throughout its history). For my current progress, see my To-do List. If I finish that this year, I'll be moving on to working on modern aircraft of the world's various Air Forces and also aircraft of World War II.
  • Sports - Mostly filling in articles from various sources on different athletes. Lots of baseball players, but I know enough about most sports (at least, those that are popular in the U.S.), that even if I'm not as familiar with an athlete, I know why they're important and can fill in those gaps.
  • The city of Dallas - The Dallas page itself needs to be completely rewritten, but that's a massive undertaking. I try to cover little things if I can like neighborhoods, people and buildings.
  • Web development stuff - My bread and butter as far as my job goes. Don't have as much to contribute here (as much has already been written), but if I see a gap here or there (like Broadcast.com or ColdFusion), I try to fill that as well.
