MfD nomination of User:LFA061807
I've nominated User:LFA061807, a page you created, for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:LFA061807 and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:LFA061807 during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Cheers, Lights 14:16, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. It would be appreciated if you would not remove deletion notices from pages, or remove other people's comments in deletion debates, as you did with User:LFA061807. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of a page, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Cheers, Lights 17:52, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- Following this deletion discussion, your userpage has been deleted. Please review the userpage guidelines before recreating your userpage. Thank you, — xaosflux Talk 01:07, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
why is my wiki site up for deletion? it is serving as informational purposes alone. i do not see how it is any different than other financial company's wiki sites how do i make it neutral so it does not get deleted? (moved from Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:LFA061807)
You should read our userpage guidelines before recreating. A userpage cannot be used to advertise something. If you want a userpage, you should write a little about yourself, and yourself on Wikipedia. However Wikipedia is not a soapbox, so if you use your userpage to advertise, it will be deleted again. Cheers, Lights 13:57, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with User:LFA061807. If you do not believe the article should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's [[Talk:User:LFA061807|talk page]]. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Cheers, Lights 20:41, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Louis P. Stanasolovich, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.legend-financial.com/f_biographies.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 15:03, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Louis P. Stanasolovich
A tag has been placed on Louis P. Stanasolovich requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. RayAYang (talk) 22:11, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Diane Pearson
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Diane Pearson, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
Your question at User_talk:Toddst1#Editor_Assistance_Request
The article you are trying to create has to do a few things:
- It has to establish the subject's notability in a Wikipedia sense. In this case it means it has to pass WP:BIO
- It can't be an advertisement.
- It can't be a copyright violation
- It must be verifiable - usually that means using citations from reliable sources
If the article does all that, then it should be ok - unless you have a conflict of interest with the subject. In that case, you can still write the article, but it is discouraged. Either way, be sure you understand the conflict of interest guidelines.
Be sure and click on each of the links above and understand what Wikipedia means in each context. Good luck. Toddst1 (talk) 14:58, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- As an extension to the above, and your assistance request to me, you should also read the conflict of interest guidelines. You should not create an article about yourself, your business, place of work or colleagues. Additionally, you should also read the external links guidelines. Links to site outside of Wikipedia should not be in the body of an article, they have to be in the external links sections or as inline cites if at all, as many links are simply not appropriate for Wikipedia (see WP:ELNO). Finally, remember that Wikipedia is NOT a vehicle for self-promotion.--Boffob (talk) 15:12, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- I just cleaned some of that up. BTW, when adding references, it's a pretty good idea to use these templates instead of just throwing in a raw link. Toddst1 (talk) 15:15, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
