'Gudivada' is a city of more than 100,000 inhabitants, lying as junction of Vijayawada-Machilipatnam-Bhimavaram-Nuzvid in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh of India. Known for its Thyagaraja Aradhana carnatic music festival, railway and bus facilities are available.

Gudi means temple and vada means town in telugu language. Gudivada might be derived from existence of number of temples in the past. Gudivada was known as Vidarbhapuri in past.
