The Shipyard Brewing Co. is a microbrewery located in Portland, Maine. Established in 1994 by Alan Pugsley, they are one of the leaders in the craft brewing movement. In addition, they operate several restaurants and contract breweries, and are active in many community project around New England. Unlike many contract brewers, The Shipyard works on a very personal level with each of their clients to create a unique handcrafted beer.

Their line of beers includes:

  • Export Ale
  • Old Thumper Extra Special Ale (brewed by a unique arrangment with the Ringwood Brewery in Hampshire, England)
  • Shipyard Light
  • India Pale Ale
  • Bluefin Stout
  • Chamberlain Pale Ale
  • Shipyard Brown Ale
  • Shipyard Summer Ale
  • Pumpkinhead Ale
  • Shipyard Winter Ale
  • Longfellow Winter Ale
  • Prelude Special Ale
  • Battleground Ale

Plus many limited edition brews, and several old fashioned sodas.

The Shipyard is also partners with the Sea Dog Brewing Co..
