[[Image:Som Sanaag is one of largest of the regions of Northern Somalia. Erigavo is the biggest city in the region and it is also the Provisional seat of government and non governmental institutions and organisations.


Sanaag is famous for its natural wonders and beautiful sea-side mountainous terrian. Its home to the highest peak of Somaliland, mount Surad Mountain, reaching a towering 2.5KM above sea level.

The coastal port town of Heis and Mait is home to sheikh Ishaaq's tomb.
