A political scandal in Mexico in the presidency of Vicente Fox (2000-2006) when it was discovered that funds from the union of workers of PEMEX, the national oil company, were used to support the campaign of Francisco Labastida, candidate for the Institutional Revolutionary Party in the year 2000. Those claimed responsible were not convicted although the party was fined for MXN $1,000 million (about 90 million dollars).
