The Suns Gorilla is the official mascot of the Phoenix Suns. He is famous for his entertaining antics and dunks which he performs off of a trampoline between the 3rd and 4th quarters. He is also a member of the Mascot Hall of Fame. The man inside The Suns Gorilla is Bob Woolf.

Woolf was hired in 1988 from an open tryout that the team held after the original Gorilla retired. Woolf is the original mascot to dunk off the trampoline and certainly the man who elevated the monkey to where he stands today--among the world's best--but is not the original.
