Elizabeth Jean "Busy" Philipps (born June 25, 1979 in Oak Park, Illinois, USA) is an actor known for a starring role in the 2002 film Home Room, and supporting roles in the 2004 Wayans brothers film White Chicks, and on the TV series' Freaks and Geeks and Dawson's Creek. She auditioned for the role of Lindsey Weir on Freaks and Geeks before being cast as Kim Kelly. She also auditioned for the television show Roswell. Her parents gave her the nickname Busy, because as an infant she was always moving, the nickname stuck, it even appears on her driver's license. She attended Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Arizona where she was taught by high school theatre teacher Deborah Carrick. She attended Loyola Marymount University at the same time as Colin Hanks and Linda Cardellini. She worked the toy fair circuit as a real-life Barbie before making her show-business debut.
