Samwise Gamgee

Sam Gamgee, found in J.R.R. Tolkien's trilogy The Lord of the Rings, is Frodo Baggins' best friend and most loyal companion through all their adventures. Frodo's gardener by trade, Sam is a simple, honest hobbit of plain speech, who loves Elves and knows a bit about rope making. He lives with his father, who is known as The Gaffer and lives on Bagshot Row in the Shire, close to Bag End where Frodo lives.
