The Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh in India is the most undeveloped area of the state. It has both Tamil Nadu and Karnataka as its boundaries. It is famous for the Trupati and Sri Kalahasti temples.
Chittoor is famous for mangoes, Nutrine chocolates
. It was ignored in the view of development by the Rulers of AP, till today.
But this has many historical and tourism attracting stations from East to West.
Horsely Hills is one of the important Tourist places of the Chittoor District. It is a Summer Resort Station located nearby Madana Palle Town. Many people termed as Andhra Ooty. It was earlier called as Enugu Mallamma Konda. Nearby Horsely Hills, Rishi Valey is also located. It is famous for its best Residential Education (GURUKULA), once upon a time and still continues with decreased glory due to existance of many other such institutions country wise.
Gurram Konda is another historical place of West part of Chittoor District, with a good old fort along with the Sultanese Palace, called Rangini Mahal.
Madana Palle is famous for its fruit and vegetable marketing especially, tomotoes.
