Chazz Princeton (Jun Manjoume in the Japanese version) is mired in envy for Jaden's carefree attitude and peerless luck.

Chazz Princeton, known in Japan as Jun Manjoume (万丈目 準 Manjōme Jun), is a fictional character in the anime series Yu-Gi-Oh! GX (Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX in Japan).

Chazz Princeton is a 15 year old member of the Obelisk Blue dorm. Previously he was the leader of Team Elite, until he was defeated by Jaden Yuki (Judai Yuki). A formerly peerless duelist, believing himself to be the most elite duelist in the school, Chazz leads the Obelisk Blue dorm and is selfish and arrogant.

Chazz believes that Jaden is a dropout boy who doesn't belong in the school. When first they meet, Chazz gives Jaden a chance to show him his real power in a duel. However, the duel is interrupted before Jaden can rightfully win, causing Chazz to believe he was the decided winner.

Later, Chazz is defeated by Jaden even despite his use of several extremely rare cards. Eventually he becomes so dispirited and confused from his losses he leaves the school and later reaches another dueling school. There, he defeats the top duelists and becomes the "king" of the school, gaining the moniker "Manjoume Thunder" (there is no English version of this name yet). He is the representative of the North School, facing off Jaden, who defeated Bastion Misawa (Daichi Misawa) for the spot of Duel Academy representative.

When he is defeated again, he realizes the errors of his ways and decides to rejoin his old school. However, he has to begin again, meaning he has to start in the Slifer Red dorm.

It is later revealed that Chazz is the youngest of three brothers, along with Chosaku Princeton (Chosaku Manjoume) and Shoji Princeton (Shoji Manjoume), who are the heads of the political and financial worlds respectively. Thus, he is forced to take a lot of pressure to become the head of the dueling world. When he finally faces off against his brother and wins, he is able to take charge of his own life.

Card list

Chazz goes through several decks during the shows run. In the beginning the character uses a Hell-based deck, although during one duel, after being given a number of rare cards, he also runs a V to Z deck, relying on the five polymer monsters (VWXYZ). Later he uses an Armed Dragon deck against Jaden in the representative duel, as well as some of the cards he had to find in order to gain entry to the North School. Against his brother Chosaku, he uses a low-level, high defense deck, relying on the Ojama Trio. If Chosaku won the duel, the ownership would pass from Seto Kaiba to Chosaku, but Chazz was not allowed to use monsters with more than 500 attack points. (There is no clear reason on why Kaiba seemed to suddenly dislike his own school.) Chazz went to the school well and managed to recover many new but weak cards in there. The cards there were useless cards that other duelists threw away (because they all had 0 attack points.)

However, he now seems to have combined the Armed Dragons, some cards from his first Cthonian-based deck, the Ojama Trio, and some of the cards he found at the North School into a new deck.
