Blaník is a mountain in the Czech Republic. Its height is 638 meters above sea level. Surrounding area is small natural reservation.

Ancient legends are associated with this mountain. The legend says that a huge army of knights led by Sv. Václav sleeps in the mountain. The knights will awake and help Motherland if it is under ultimate assualt. Ultimate Assualt means that at least four hostile armies attacks.

Several other objects were named after the mountain:

  • a sailplane produced by Let Kunovice.
  • a marine ship owned by Czechoslovakia
  • a radio station in the Czech Republic
