Atomic Skull

Atomic Skull is the name of 2 different DC Comics supervillains.

Atomic Skull I

Albert Michaels was a scientist at STAR Labs with a nervous disorder. When he couldn't find a cure, he contacted the criminal organization SKULL and they gave him a way to harness his neural disorder into atomic blasts. He became the organisation's leader.

Atomic Skull II

Joe Martin was struck by an intense blast of energy that gave him superhuman strength and premature baldness. Later attacked by some thugs, the resulting head damage caused insanity and he took on the guise of "The Atomic Skull" who was a hero from an old movie serial. He later gained the ability to project energy blasts and has plagued Superman, whom he believed to be the serial's villain. He no longer believes himself to be the serial chartacter, but has become a more conventional villain.

Other Media

In Justice League Unlimited, the Atomic Skull was Wildcat's main opponent at Roulette's Meta-Brawl until Green Arrow and Black Canary interupted the match. Atomic Skull later returns as a member of Gorilla Grodd's Legion of Doom.
