Infernal Affairs (無間道) is a 2002 Hong Kong movie about an undercover cop (Tony Leung, Yan) and a mole inside the police department (Andy Lau, Ming), who because of his intelligence on his Triad rivals has swiftly risen to the head of the Criminal Intelligence Bureau at eighteen. The crime group portrayed in the movie is the Triads of Hong Kong. It was followed by the prequel Infernal Affairs II and the sequel Infernal Affairs III in 2003.

In the Mainland China version of Infernal Affairs I, Ming is caught as a mole and goes to jail, while in the Hong Kong version, Ming does not go to jail and Yan is honored as a police officer posthumously. The DVD version includes both endings of the story.
