Blonde on Blonde is a folk rock album by Bob Dylan, released on May 16, 1966 (see 1966 in music) and generally believed to be the rock and roll genre's first double album. The album was a critical success overall, though folk music purists continued to protest Dylan's fusion of folk with rock and roll. Blonde on Blonde, Dylan's third album-length mixture of the two genres (after Highway 61 Revisited and Bringing It All Back Home), is widely considered the best of his rock-oriented efforts.

Blonde on Blonde peaked at #9 on Billboard's Pop Albums chart (North America).
